Catholic Cathedral of the Assumption of Our Lady

Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady in Pinsk — the city's main Catholic church built in baroque style from 1712 to 1730. After gaining cathedral status on October 28, 1925 it became the center of the Pinsk diocese. Inside the temple there are seven altars including those made of stucco. It was the residence of Cardinal Kazimierz Swencki, a well-known Belarusian Catholic figure of the 20th century. Former monastic buildings now house the Pinsk Theological Seminary.
