Brest city, Heroes of Defense of Brest Fortress St, 60

Brest Fortress - an historical monument and defense structure built in 1833. It was here where the heroic defense began in June 1941 against Nazi Germany. Today it is a memorial including a museum and preserved fortifications such as the Holm Gates and Terespol Gates. The title "Hero Fortress" was awarded to it in 1965. The complex reflects the history of Russia, Poland and Belarus.
