Armenian Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Spenderian

The Armenian Opera and Ballet Theatre named after A. Spenderian is located at Tumanyan Street, 54 in Yerevan. Originally two halls capable of combining for 3000 seats were planned but the project remained unfulfilled due to technical difficulties and the architect Alexander Tamanian's death. The concert part of the building was completed by architect Gevorg Tamanian in 1953. Reconstruction of the operatic section took place from 1978 to 1980.
