Jermuk Mineral Springs

The mineral springs of Jeremuk are situated in the Arpa River gorge on the Jeremuk plateau. Water from these springs reaching temperatures up to 64 °C is rich in hydrocarbonate, sulfate and chloride components containing sodium, calcium and magnesium. There is a drinking gallery here supplying water from this area. Mineralization amounts to about 4-5 g/l. The spring became the basis for the sanatorium specialization of the city. Water rises through deep fissures and faults in the earth's crust.
