Agavnavank Monastery

Agavnavank - an ancient monastery from the 11th to 12th centuries situated in Agavnavank village, Tavush region. Hidden among the ancient grove of relict tisov, it attracts tourists with its quiet monastic traditions and picturesque views. Only some buildings and ruins of agricultural structures have survived in the monastery. The complex's name is linked to a legend about doves that once lived there. Agavnavank is included in the tourist routes of Dilijan National Park.
