Goshavank

Goshavank - an ancient monastic complex from the 12th to 13th centuries situated near the village of Gosh close to Dilijan. Known for its unique khachkar called "embroidered," it also features sundials on the southern facade. The site is associated with medieval scholar and writer Mkhitar Gosh who participated in its restoration after the earthquake destruction of 1188. The road to Goshavank often passes through picturesque forests and includes stops at Parz Lake and Gosh Lake within the national park.
