Dilijan National Park

Dilijan National Park spreads out in northeastern Armenia covering over 240 sq km. It protects unique forests with oak and beech trees, mineral springs and diverse animal and plant species. Natural landmarks include lakes Parz and Gosh, forest area known as Drunkard's Forest. The park features historical monasteries Agarcin, Goshavank, Djukhtakvank and Matosavank. A program to restore Caucasian elk is supported by the park administration. Some of its trails are integrated into the Transcaucasian Trail network.
