Old Village Shinuye

Old Shinyur is situated in Vorotan Valley; its exact age is unknown but first written mentions date back to the 10th century. An ancient three-meter khachkar dating from 1261 remains here. The central church of the settlement was destroyed by a strong earthquake in the 13th century and subsequently rebuilt.
