Cathedral Saint Bogoroditsy Yot Verk

Cathedral of Holy Mother Yot Verk — main church of Vardannatz Square in Gyumri city built in the XIX century. Known as "Seven Wounds" due to an icon of the Virgin Mary whose image is associated with this name. The temple is an important spiritual and architectural attraction of the city. After the devastating Spitak earthquake of 1988 two fallen dome parts of the church have been preserved becoming a memorial reminder of the tragedy.
