Charles Aznavour Square

Charles Aznavur Square in Gyumri named after the French singer and composer. Here stands a monument to Aznavur designed by Samvel Pyotrosyan and Jim Torosyan, unveiled in 2001. Previously known as "Star Square", it was renamed as an expression of gratitude to Aznavur for supporting the city following the devastating earthquake of 1988.
