Gorky Park in Gyumri

Gorky Park in Gyumri situated at the beginning of Gaya Street is the central park of the city. It features the former theater building where in 1912 opera "Anush" premiered, marking the start of Armenian operatic art. A distinctive feature of the park is the white colonnade in classical Greek style offering views to Black Fortress and monument "Mother Armenia". This is a popular spot for locals' recreation.
