Dzitogtian Folk Architecture and Urban Life Museum

The Museum of Folk Architecture and Urban Life Djitogtsyan is located in the historical district of Kumayri, at 47 Akhtanak Avenue, Gyumri city. Built in 1872, it was transferred to the museum in 1984 and is a monument of traditional architecture made from dark tufa. It showcases an exhibition depicting the life of townsfolk, merchants and craftsmen of Alexandropol in the 19th century. The museum enables visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the urban identity and culture of Gyumri.
