Gyumri Drama Theatre named after Vardan Aghamyan

Gyumri Drama Theatre named after Varvar Aghamyan is located at Syunik Street, 4. Founded in 1865 as an amateur theatre club, it became a state theatre under the name Varvar Aghamyan in 1928. Here, the play "Revolt" was first staged by director Aram Gulakian. The theater celebrates its theatrical tradition since 1865 and marks its 150th anniversary. It is an important stage for northern Armenia, having performed in Yerevan and other cities.
