Black Fortress Gjumri

Black Fortress in Gyumri - a historical Russian military fortress of the 19th century located on the western outskirts of the city. Built after the Russo-Turkish War to defend Alexandropol (now Gyumri). Today, the fortress serves as a cultural center and popular viewing point known for its unique circular silhouette and dark volcanic wall material that gave it its name.
