Sevan, Sevanavank Monastery

Surb Arakeloc Church is one of two surviving churches of Sevanavank Monastery located on Lake Sevan's shore. Built in the 9th century, it belongs to Armenian cruciform-domed architectural tradition. The name of the temple means "Holy Apostles". Situated on a peninsula, the church adjoins another famous building of the monastery - Surb Astvatsatun Church.
