Saint Hripsime Church of Sevastapol

The Surb Arakeloc Church is one of two well-preserved churches of the Sevavan Monastery in the city of Sevan. It was built in the 9th century and after the reconstruction of 1651 it is associated with dedication to Saint Karapet. Architecturally, the temple represents a small cross-vaulted structure with a central dome. Its name translates as "Holy Apostles". The church is part of the ensemble of the monastery founded in 874 and plays an important role in shaping the visual appearance of Sevan.
