Lake Sevan

Lake Sevan is located at about 1900 meters above sea level and is the largest freshwater lake in Armenia. It occupies an important place in the country's natural and cultural heritage, combining picturesque shores with monasteries, beaches, fishermen's traditions and archaeological monuments. The ancient name of the lake is Gagkian Sea, emphasizing its significance for Armenian land.
