Lchashenskoe Archaeological Settlement

Lchashen archaeological settlement is situated near Lchashen village on Lake Sevan's shore. It is an important ancient monument with discoveries from the Bronze Age including burial mounds and items of elite culture. The site is known for excavations which provided knowledge about the history of the Sevan region. Here were found fortress remains, necropolis, residential buildings and traces of organized layout. The total area of the complex is approximately 55 hectares, its age spans from the 4th to the 7th century B.C.
