Saint Ripsime Church

Saint Ripсиме Church in Vagarshapat town is located on Mesrop Mashtots Street. It is famous for being built at the site of Saint Ripсиме's martyrdom and has a crypt dedicated to her under its altar. The church was constructed in 618 AD and represents an exemplary instance of classical Armenian central dome architecture. Since 2000, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
