The Old Matenadaran of Primatial Echmiadzin is situated on the grounds of the historical ensemble of Vagarshapat. The building constructed between 1908 and 1911 was originally a repository and center for studying ancient church manuscripts. It is included in the official list of architectural monuments of the complex.
