Matenadaran Vache and Tamara Manukyan

Matenadaran Archive of Vache and Tamara Manukyan is situated on the grounds of the Holy Echmiadzin Primatial in Vagarshapat. It is a modern structure designed by Artak Gulyan blending contemporary technologies with traditional Armenian architectural elements. Here is preserved a rich collection of ancient Armenian manuscripts with historical significance. The library continues the centuries-old tradition of preserving regional church books initiated during medieval times.
