Khrymyansky Museum

The Hrimyan Museum building is situated in Vagarshapat city near the Primatial Holy Echmiadzin. It was constructed in 1896 upon instruction from Catholicos Mkhrtich I Hrimyan. Since 1957 it has been part of the Echmiadzin museum system. After prolonged service as storage during Soviet times, the building was confiscated, subsequently reconstructed with modern engineering systems installed. Today it bears the name of its founder - Hrimyan.
