Zvartnots Historical-Cultural Reserve

Historical and cultural reserve "Zvartnots" is situated near Vagarshapat city. It is an archaeological site included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2000 together with Echmiadzin cathedral and churches. Remains of 31 ancient structures were found here, indicating significant influence of Armenian church architecture on neighboring regions. The area is located in a seismically hazardous zone posing threat to the monument's preservation. The reserve also reflects spiritual and artistic heritage of the Armenian Church since its inception.
